Ceremonial Cacao Facilitator

My name is Cami and Ceremonial Cacao is something I am very passionate about, my hope is to expand and soften hearts, creating spaces to connect them to their body and intuition. I was mentored in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala in 2021 and learned from those very close to the Mayan Indigenous. I then spent time in regions of Mexico and gained a deeper passion for Cacao. I am also certified Reiki 2 and a yogi.

I naturally embody femininity, nurture, insight, and safety. My ceremonies have been described as a calm, grounded, poetic, and mother-like energy. Allowing emotional safety and deeper inner-connections amongst the circle. I am honored to be in practice and fulfill what feels like a glimmering world-changing purpose, rippling out softer hearts one ceremony at a time.

What is a Cacao Ceremony?

A Cacao Ceremony is a gathering where we sip on the delicious, warm beverage with intention and gratitude, this held space is opened with an OM or prayer.

Similar to the setting of a meditation or sound bath, this is a nourishing experience both physically and internally; discover and practice techniques that might include breath-work, journaling, meditation, group conversation and can include sound baths, yoga or dance when specifically requested.

What is Ceremonial Grade Cacao?

Ceremonial Cacao is a 100% pure cacao-bean paste, that contains ahigher quantity of health-restoring and mood-elevating compounds than any other cacao-based product on the market (like cocoa powder, dark chocolate, etc).

There are two main varieties of Cacao trees, the Criollo and Forastero. The Forasterois typically used as a sweeter commercial grade chocolate, where the Criollo is a wild strain and has a higher concentration of health-restoring and consciousness-altering compounds such as theobromine, serotonin, proanthocyanin, anandamine, methylxanthines, tryptophan, phenylethylamine, and many others that when consumed generate a particularly potent heart-warming sensation in the body.

It is minimally processed through traditional production means: The paste is made by fermenting the beans, slightly heating the highest quality ones on a hotplate, hand-peeling them, and then grinding them down on a heated mill (traditionally a stone mill) so the resulting powder congeals into its final paste form.

Where do I source my Cacao?

I source from a women’s co-op farm in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Prayed upon from planting, harvesting, fermenting, and drying/roasting, to then heating, hand-peeling, grinding, and lastly the paste becomes the brick.

Is Cacao legal or psychoactive?

Yes it is legal & no it is not psychoactive.

Philosopher and neuroscientist James Giordano comments, “Cacao is neuroactive, not strongly psychoactive.” What cacao does do is relax the body's muscles while increasing the brain's uptake of 'feel-good chemicals' such as theobromine, serotonin and anandamide.

What are the Physical Benefits?

This plant has long been associated with profound spiritual experiences, its ability to open the heart and uplift the soul. Many believe that cacao possesses unique energetic properties that can enhance meditation, inner exploration, and emotional healing.
